October Morning Verse
Cold, crisp, clear mornings
Stars shimmering at night
And warm golden days
provide October’s delights.
The sweet smell of damp decay
Permeates the autumn air.
Sunlight mixes with turning leaves,
Making yellow rings so fair.
Gray smoke drifts above the valley floor
As chainsaws echo in the woods.
Dancing fires warm our homes
Welcoming rosy-cheeked children
Through the door.
Fall’s fresh splendor gives rise to work and play.
Let’s shimmer in autumn wonder,
Let’s celebrate each day.
Good morning!
